MENAdoc - Digital Collections

The MENAdoc - Digital Collections is one of the central components of the digital services rendered by the Middle East and North Africa Special Area Collection (Sondersammelgebiet 6,23) of the DFG and is accessible through the Middle East and North Africa Virtual Library MENALIB. It comprises the following collections:

The Middle East and North Africa Special Area Collection (Sondersammelgebiet 6,23) moved to the Universitaets- und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt in Halle (ULB Halle) in 1998. Digital services of the Special Area Collection and other information providers in the field of Middle East, North African and Islamic studies are employed in the Middle East Virtual Library MENALIB which ULB Halle started to develop in 2000. MENALIB provides access to a number of bibliographic databases. At the same time, one of the main objectives of MENALIB is the integration of new electronic fulltext resources into MENALIB's fulltext repository MENAdoc, which comprises, apart from periodicals, a constantly growing number of individual digital publications related to Middle East and Islamic Studies.
